Accolades

“Corbin Beisner (USA, b. 1988) is already a distinguished pianist with a burgeoning career. His playing of the Petrarch Sonnet 104 and the Dante Sonata showed the wealth of artistic experience that lay behind very assured and absolutely note-perfect accounts.  His apparently unperturbable demeanor at the keyboard affords him a justified air of true musical authority, and his performance was masterly.”

-Leslie Howard, pianist, pedagogue, and president of the jury, London Liszt Society

“Er ist ein Ausnahme pianist, dessen Klavierspiel Zug und Größe hat.“

(“He is an exceptional pianist whose playing has impact and greatness.”)

-Mario Venzago, principal conductor and artistic director of the Bern Symphony Orchestra, Bern, Switzerland

“He has a technical accuracy that is astonishing, combined with an easy relaxed way at the keyboard…he is one of the best of the new generation of pianists.  If you have an opportunity to hear Corbin in concert, run-don’t walk to hear him.”

-Paul Bisaccia, American pianist and author, from “Piano Player-Memoir and Master Class”

“Corbin Beisner is an outstanding young pianist with quasi limitless technical abilities. In addition to this he has a refined touch and a well developed sense for tone colour.”

-Ádám Fellegi, concert pianist and Liszt Prize winner of the Hungarian State

“The moment that Beethoven wrote in the elaborate embellishments in the variations, (op. 34), the music was allowed to flow naturally in Corbin’s expert hands…a superb shape and dynamic range, but above all a sense of style that left no doubt about his remarkable musicianship….”

“It was obvious from the opening C-sharp of the Chopin Barcarolle that here was a pianist who listens attentively and plays with superb musicianship and a sense of control…he allowed Chopin’s outpouring of continuous song to flow with a pulse that ebbed and flowed with a very subtle sense of rubato…never exaggerating but allowing the music to speak so naturally…it was the absolute clarity and musical intelligence that was so refreshing to hear in a work that too often is reduced to a showpiece for virtuosi!”

“…Corbin was an ideal interpreter of some of these lesser known works (of Liszt). They were played with an intelligence in totally convincing interpretations that made one, like contemporary scores, want to hear all over again.”

-Christopher Axworthy, Keyboard Charitable Trust and Critic, London Liszt Society
